Though we will finish this fall semester in two weeks and have a winter Cristmas break soon, I am now thinking about Summer break planning because I do not like cold weather or want stay in house in winter, so I do not have any plan in this winter break. Then I need to think about summer break because my friend has a plan to come to the United States in coming summer!
Actually, in this area, the south region of United States, there are no sightseeing locations, I think even though there are the big cities, Atlanta or New Orleans, and I have already visited to these cities. I do not want to go same city twice or more because I do not have enough time to go anywhere to visit. Then, I have a good idea not only to invite my friend to the U.S. but also to be able to enjoy myself. The idea is to go to Grand Canyon, AZ. The major spot is the place which I really want to go before I cam to here, and my friend also want to go.
When I have searched the detail of the tour to Grad Canyon via Internet, there are many different types of plan that departs from Las Vegas, NV, and the cost is kind of expensive like over $400 for one night stay. I want my friend to have a great experience in the U.S. and I do not want to decide the plan depending on the cost.
So, if you have any suggestions about the trip to Grand Canyon, let me know.

I've visited Grand Canyon once, when I was in 11years old, like about 10 years ago.
For that, I can't remember about the price or locations of there, since my parent's had done it all;

Although the south is not the best tourist spot, you also can see a lot. What about Florida or the Smocky Mountains nationalpark?
Sorry, I've never been to the Grand Canyon, so I can't help you with that.
We would like to go skiing in the break, but any travel acitvity around Christmas seems unaffordable.
