Golden Compass

I will never mistake again the tittle "the Golden Compass", not CAMPUS, after the compass which the Master gave Lyra in a secret has become a keyword in this fantasy book.
At the beginning of story, Lyra, a innocent girl and never been living out side of the Jordan College, is drawn as if she is a uneducated but has much more experience in a life than other girls has.
Mrs.Coulter whose daemon is a golden monkey has given Lyra any oppotunities to let her graw up or let her follow, but some rebellious ideas have built in Lyra's mind due to the notice that she might not go to the North.
My favorite point of this book is the dialogue between Lyra and Pantalaimon, Lyra's daemon. His advises to Lyra are always working on a right way, and he looks like her mirror being albe to show her feeling. His advises are what we want to tell Lyra and very importtant part of this story. That he can change his form, a mouse or moth, expresses Lyra's unbalance feeling any girls have. Lyra is still a child, but I am looking forward to see that Lyra will change to a lady and how Pantalaimon helps her to growing up.

Maybe we don't see Lyra as a young lady. In my opinion Lyra has a strong personality and she is not afraid of facing also dangerous situation.
She will unravel the things very soon, even if she is "only" a child.
